This well-preserved modified cape cod has so much charm on the outside with its original stone facade and its bump-out bay windows, capped in metal. It sits atop a hill overlooking a great part of quaint Robbinsdale. The inside, unfortunately, was equally well-preserved with 70's era wood paneling, laminate kitchen, and peach-ish bathroom.
The homeowner had a grand visioin for a near full-house remodel and we love that such a great house recieved a much needed updating.
Some details we loved about this project:
- The feeling of openness when we took the wall out that seperated the kitchen and dining area as well as removing kitchen penninsula and large upper cabinet out. (Before and afters capture that well)
- The space utilization that came with those structural changes. Including the percieved connectivity with the three season porch by having that sight-line cleared up.
- How crisp and happy the white kitchen and white trim makes everything feel.
- The eight panel doors! They are unique and architectural but still understated. An interesting feature of the house that communicated through, even while being painted white.
